Nature’s great exhale.
With Solstice arriving on December 21, winter's chill becomes more prevalent daily. Long, damp days seemingly feel darker than in years past as horrific acts of violence, injustice and suffering take place around the globe.
I'm finding it essential to do things that make my Heart feel light, which simultaneously means tending to my grief and turning my devotion to the simple things I can control (my choices, my breath, my reactions, what media I take in, what nutrients I feed myself etc.) I'm doing my best here and encouraging that in us all. If you haven't been taking time to sit with yourself, the emotions swirling or emerging, to acknowledge your feeling nature, and do things that are regenerative and healing for you, please allow the cloak of winters darkness and the approaching Solstice to envelop you in the space of beauty, rest and self-reflection. Welcome this naturally inward time to tend to what is essential.

On a personal note, Our family got a puppy this fall, and this new addition has brought about new routines + non-negotiables into our life in a way I haven't experienced since being a new mama. It's not exactly the same, and being a dog mom while navigating a pre-teen in 2023 are all new layers of work that I'm embracing.

Get outside ~ Rain or shine. Walking always shifts my mood, and I love noticing the everyday changes in nature.

Presence with my family ~ Offering affirmation, validation + genuine gratitude for my dear ones + kin. Simple. Give Love. Snuggling with my puppy (Dolly 🎀) is a new practice that is heart-healing for me.

Let's not bypass that our phones are our 24/7 access portal to social media, a realm characterized by an addictive and isolating algorithm that constantly fuels our confusion, comparison and fears. It's wild out there right now. Suppose you have yet to cultivate an unwavering relationship with your inner peace. In that case, chances are you're experiencing one, some or all of these issues, which inadvertently compromises your health, mental well-being, and your relationships.

Rebalancing through recovery
In my humanness (my human mess…), I've been certainly been stretched this year - and I've come to see I needed a lot of time and focus on recovery. I’ve been recovering my connection to Self, my joy, breathing life back into my relationships, what matters most to me. What is your relationship with recovery right now? Winter Solstice : The Venus Portal | special event
In the Spirit of embracing the wisdom + nurturing that winter solstice holds, I am thrilled to introduce an offering that invites you to immerse in a sensory sanctuary while be lovingly held in the frequency of the Heart. The Venus Portal is a healing arts collective and will host an evening of ceremony, 🍄 medicine, tea meditation, movement magick, breathwork, energy healing + restoration. My dear friends Ananda Enns and Gurjot Bains will be offering alongside me to provide hands-on facilitation, reiki, embodiment, visuals and more.
