When all is stripped back, something new can emerge.
As the leaves here are mostly now fallen, the soil rests inert, and a slow decay begins.
On the surface, stillness, yet we know beneath it is teaming with life. Billions of microorganisms indulge in the waste that has been laid here to be digested by the Great Mother.
This cycle of life is mysterious yet natural, and as old as time.
It is important we recognize the creative cycle is not always productive, equally important are the periods of destruction.
Just because we can’t see it in real-time, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. There is a necessary breakdown. A churning, and regeneration that occurs in moments of idleness.
Life begins as a seed. It begins in the dark.
There is an innate trust in honouring our seasons of darkness.
To allow what needs to die with respect, in the know that it is inevitably bringing forward life.
This can be your habits, behaviours, your relationships — admittedly, this one can be the hardest of all to watch wither, as we may still hold on to the hope that things may bloom again, but periodically, it’s time to let things fall away so they can transform ~ and that is undeniably beautiful too.
Sometimes you wait in the dark for a while. It’s painful, it’s lonely, it’s uncomfortable, but the only way out is through. Total surrender is necessary before the next steps are revealed.
Patience is a virtue cultivated in the quietude of awaiting the flash of inspiration that can give us that new sense of vitality and purpose. If we are still and peaceful, we’ll catch it… if we are active in seeking out our answers, searching to give things meaning when maybe there just is none to be found right now, pressing forward in our periods of rest, we might just miss this divine spark.
As we cross the threshold into the darkest time of the year, can we trust the process? Trust in your letting go. Trust in your allowing. Trust yourself to rest, and receive guidance in your dream time.
I don’t mean, don’t do anything — but I do mean, conserve your mental energy, and wait to make aligned action that comes from your heart.
Action, made from our urgency and emotion right now, may be taking you out of synch with your Dharma, and in turn spiral, you further into karma, which of course, the choice is up to you. Being sovereign beings, We always have a choice. You get to choose how you’re reacting or responding to life.
So, if you can slow down, and give yourself that space, to allow for the necessary falling away - you can gain perspective through peace. To really sit in it, and ask yourself the questions you need to trust your Soul Yes, to feel into the frequency of what you desire. You don’t need to know the how, or figure it out right now. In patience, where you’re meant to be, who with, maybe the when, and the how will all reveal in Divine Timing, my loves.
My morning practice has been a sublime opening to Grace for me lately. Lighting a candle, singing a little, pouring my tea. I sit silently, palms up, I embrace the stillness of the early morning and quietly ask “What’s here for me now?” I wait for the sensations. The urges. The visions and the pull to turn toward what is illuminating me from within. I let gratitude be my anchor and in my day, I breathe into what is and look for the tiny nudges that point toward my dreams, but the answers aren’t quite here. I trust it will all be revealed so long as I keep following the frequency, the little things that light me up + remind me I’m on the path.
What seeds will blossom, we don’t always know. But nurturing yourself in the dark is a sure way to trust that something beautiful is sure to bloom.
May you go inward with love + trust, and attune to the frequency of your most exquisite rebirth. It’s all happening beneath the surface.
